Coach di successo. Attuale coordinatore della nazionale Italiana Under 23. Tecnico alle Olimpiadi di Atene 2004 (5° posto Nadia Cortassa) e Pechino 2008 con la nazionale Italiana. Responsabile triathlon lungo – ironman Italia (2009 – 2012). Direttore tecnico federazione Turca (2013 – 2016) portando atleti alle Olimpiadi Europee (6° posto Jonas Schomburg) e alla vittoria di campionati mondiali. Ha all’attivo successi in ambito internazionale con atleti di alto livello. Grazie al sito triathloncoach.it segue la preparazione di triathleti di ogni livello dal principiante all’ ironman premiato alle Hawaii . Andrea, Ironman Hawaii finisher, come atleta ha alle spalle oltre 100 gare dallo sprint all’ xterra agli Ironman.

2013 – 2016

Coordinator of all the Turkish National team (elite – under 23 – junior – youth). Head Coach of elite – Olympic national team. Promoter of development of triathlon in Turkey (discovering new talent, seminary for coaches, relationship with age group team, contact with ITU development programs, etc).
In 4 year I did good results as the 6th place in Baku European games. Top 10 in world cup and World triathlon series. Victory of continental cup and u23 aquatlhlon world championship. From zero to 8 athletes in the ITU world ranking. (best top 55). Silver medal in World University championship. About development we move from 200 athletes at the races in 2013 to more than 650 in 2016.

Among the main results there are one Olympic athlete, an one athlete in the Youth Olympic Games, Team national champion in 2008-2009 – 2010, victory as best Italian youth team in 2009 and 2010, more than 50 Italian titles in various categories and many other results. Torino Triathlon is the team of Renato Bertrandi, ETU president from 2012.

SKILLS

I have worked in the best sports center in the World.. Excellent knowledge of altitude training due to experiences with high-level athletes in: St. Moritz, Sierra Nevada, Sestrieres, Windhoeck (Namibia). Among the places where I worked coaching the national teams should also be mentioned: Sport Super Center (Gold Coast Australia), Club La Santa (Lanzarote, Spain), Las Playtas (Fuerteventura, Spain), Riva degli Etruschi (Tuscany, Italy), Gloria sports arena (Antalya, Turkey).

Over the years I have worked with the following world class coaches:
Renato Canova (IAAF coach. He works with the best Kenyans athletes in the world), Luciano Gigliotti (IAAF coach of Stefano Baldini Olympic marathon champion) Claudio Rossetto ( FIN coach of world champion Filippo Magnini 100m freestyle). I have also worked with the Institute of Sport Science CONI- Rome.

Author of many authoritative publication of magazines such as Runner’s World, Triathlete, Triathlon magazine, Men’s healt, etc.. I published one book “triathlon: from Hawaii to Olympic Games” written with my wife Nadia Cortassa and Doc. Felicina Biorci.
